Benefits of Membership

The ACHRC invites members from university-based Humanities research centres, collecting institutions (such as art galleries, libraries, and museums) and cultural organisations (such as creative industries and festivals of the arts). The ACHRC aims to foster connections between our wide range of members, and to encourage research support, community-based initiatives, internal and external fellowship programs, and the development and maintenance of research collections.

ACHRC member centres have a descriptive entry in our online Member Directory, access to our detailed database of national and international fellowship, postdoctoral fellowship, and awards opportunities, and are eligible to participate in our Annual Meetings. Most importantly, ACHRC members are part of an active association of  Humanities-based organisations, the first of its kind in Australia. The Consortium aims to cultivate links between these Australian centres and international Humanities networks.
